Time Traveling Creature
Four time travelers arrive in 1980s New York City on the run from someone called "the Slug".  They follow the Ghostbusters to a job and wait until they trap the ghost of Captain Nemo before stealing the trap and teleporting away, leaving the Ghostbusters befuddled.  They’re soon in for much worse when the travelers place reality shifting devices in the firehouse, locking each of the boys into a nightmare world!  It’s Winston vs. monsters, Peter vs. a werewolf school, Ray vs. an alien planet, and Egon vs. nature in a barren wasteland.  Even if the boys survive, they still have to deal with…the Slug!

Time Traveler #1: “Something else the slug revealed will come in handy dealing with them.  Ever hear of Stephanie Queen?”
Stephanie Queen is a horror writer.

Peter (dreaming): “Honest, Dana, I was just foolin’ when I said you were a dog…”
In the Ghostbusters movie, Peter’s love interest Dana Barrett became what’s known as a terror dog when she was possessed by Zuul, a minion of Gozer the Gozarian.  Upon witnessing her transformation, Peter (played by Bill Murray) says “Okay, so, she’s a dog.”

Peter (to Slimer): “You’re gonna slime me again, aren’t you?”
Ray: “Peter, remember how we got $5000 when we caught him?”
Another movie reference; on their first bust at the Sedgewick Hotel, Peter came face-to-face with Slimer and received a slimy greeting from the experience.  Slimer's residency with the Ghostbusters as well as the origin of his name are explained in the Real Ghostbusters episode "Citizen Ghost".

“Gozer Lives” is a reference to the villain in the first movie.
