Fun Facts
  • Title Reference: "Elementary, My Dear Watson" is a phrase falsely attributed to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional detective Sherlock Holmes. It was the supposed declaration Holmes made to his assistant, Dr. Watson, before explaining the deductions he had made to solve the crime. The phrase is never actually uttered by Holmes in any of the sixty Holmes stories written by Conan Doyle. In the stories, Holmes often remarks that his logical conclusions are "elementary", in that he considers them to be simple and obvious. He also, on occasion, refers to Dr. Watson as "my dear Watson". The two fragments, however, never appear together. It does appear at the very end of the 1929 film, "The Return of Sherlock Holmes", the first Sherlock Holmes sound film.
  • The voice actors were recorded on June 14, 1989.
  • In the Ghostbusters movies, the Ghostbusters have name tags on their uniforms. In the cartoon they don't - not even in "Citizen Ghost". But in this episode, for a brief moment, one appears on Egon's uniform! Name tags also appear on their uniforms on the cover of NOW Comic's "The Real Ghostbusters In Ghostbusters II" Issue #2.
  • The New York Public Library from the first Ghostbusters movie makes an appearance.
