Thanks! I was thinking there was some songs out there. I have a GB playlist with the GB2 songs, GB1 soundtrack and the Tahiti songs.

I miss Lance dearly.
When Lance died it felt like losing my dad all over again since Lance and Linda knew us since we were born. They were like God parents to us even though we don t have that in the Jewish faith. You are truely missed Lance.

In response to: The Real Ghostbusters Volumes 6 to 10 Sony 2016 DVD Review

Jonathan, I've been trying to get a review copy, but no such luck. I physically saw it at Best Buy for $45, and judging by the outer package, it's all 10 discs in a 1-inch thick plastic case. I highly doubt that they're new discs. If I can get a copy, I'll post a review.

Did anyone ever buy the Vol 1-10 DVD set that came out October 3? The only potential benefit I can see of buying that is if they modified the presentation or corrected any of the outright problems present on these sets (aside from the lack of a wraparound slip cover).

I took the plunge on bought the Sony produced "Volumes 1 to 5" boxset, after seeing at Walmart for only $20 CDN (knock off about ~25% to convert to US dollars).

I'm a purist, but I'm not likely to come across the TimeLife edition any time soon (and certainly not at such an affordable price!). I prefer physical media over digital, and so I figure this disc collection, while flawed, still makes a nice place holder if/when I ever come across the TimeLife edition. Sure it's available on Netflix right now, but who know when they may take it down or region block it. Any TV show or movie I'm particularly fond of I want sitting on my shelf. :)

It's unfortunate for the missing episodes, but most of season 1 and 2 are there. Real Ghostbusters was one of my all time favorite animated shows, but after Lorenzo Music and Laura Summer left the show I started losing interest (and gave up altogether once Arsenio Hall left, and it was retooled as the Slimer show). So most of my favorites, or at least what I watched in the 80's, is in this collection.

I'll give it a watch shortly and see how it looks and sounds (I keep an old CRT TV handy to watch DVD's on).

Horrible news! Lance was such a great sweet guy. I brought my wife and 2 boys to his classes at Eisenhower Park and we did the annual all nighter. We all loved Lance, a very special person.

I was actually going to call this "a parody of a parody", but some people get offended if I point out that Feig's movie is a parody, so I left that out to "keep the peace" :-)

About the toys: Eduardo and Roland "Extreme Ecto Editions" also were found in Ecuador (I have them!), Peru and Chile. In Ecuador, they were pretty common and get discount prices in the year 2002.

Excellent write-up, Paul. I still recall randomly flipping channels that day and watching Darkness at Noon. I wasn't really watching much television in '97 but I tried to keep up with EGB. It's a pity Sony haven't released a full series DVD set. This past or coming Tuesday would have been a good time... fingers crossed. Just about every other series from the time MiB, Godzilla, Jumanji, etc. have had releases.

The goofs you refer to notwithstanding, are these episodes in order? And does Vol. 5 end with the finale of Season 2?

(btw, "Who are you going to call?" is not answered incorrectly by capitalizing all the other letters in addition to the G)

Thank you so much Paul for your tribute to my brother, He was one of a kind,I can just see him in heaven telling his jokes to everyone he meets. His passing has left a huge hole in my heart. When we were children lance and I made up our own language together, I called him Pierre. He always had a smile on his face, and was willing to help anyone with computer problems or appliances. He was a great Uncle to my son's,and grandchildren..so glad we were together for our Mom's 90th birthday. You are missed by all Lance, thank you for being a Great brother and friend. We will never forget you Lance. All my love, your sister Barbara

Hi Everyone

I'm glad that you found my tribute, and thanks for the kind words. In addition to the tribute, my sister Michelle and I contributed to Lance's memorial fund, as we both know what it's like to lose a loved one. Especially someone whom I depended upon financially. Our father died in early 2014, and our mother followed him in late 2015.

How is Linda doing?

When she and I last spoke last week, she was still in the hospital, but it seems that she's no longer there. I tried the home phone, but it seems to have been disabled as calls don't go through. I tried what I believe to be her cell phone, but it just goes to voicemail and messages are un-returned. Lance's work cell has a full mailbox and the main work number has been (understandably) disconnected.

I'm left with no numbers with which to contact Linda to see how she's holding up. Please tell her to call me. She should remember the number. If not, please shoot me an e-mail to give me the best phone number to reach her at.

Thank you Paul for this tribute. Lance was a very special guy, he got great satisfaction in life when helping people. All people were the same to Lance they were all an opportunity to tell a joke maybe a joke he had told you before. Lance will be so missed by his family and friends.
We pray for his wife Linda of 40 yrs
Love you Lance
Your brother Dennis

What a great tribute to Uncle Lance. Thank you Paul. Uncle Lance was such a sweet and giving man. As a kid I often had no idea what his jokes meant but I would laugh anyway because he was laughing and when he was smiling and laughing it made everyone around him want to do the same. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to see him this summer and that my daughter was able to meant him and experience his love. You are missed Uncle.
